Introduction

Arc Communications Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Arc") recognizes that the protection of personal information of customers, vendors, employees, etc., used during business activities shall be its social responsibility, and hereby establishes the Personal Information Protection Policy as described below, appointing a Personal Information Management Representative, establishing handling guidelines, and providing appropriate protection.

Personal Information Protection Policy

  1. Collection of personal information
    When collecting personal information, Arc shall use appropriate methods and limit the collection of information to that which is necessary for conducting its operations. When collecting personal information, Arc shall clarify the purpose of collection and use as well as the contact for inquiries.
  2. Use of personal information
    Personal information shall be used, excluding cases of directives, etc. based on laws and regulations, only within the scope of the collection purpose. When it is necessary to use personal information beyond this scope, Arc shall obtain consent from the individual that is the subject of the personal information, regarding the purpose of use, etc.
  3. Provision and deposit of personal information
    When providing personal information to third parties, Arc shall provide only the information limited to the scope of the collection purpose for which consent has been obtained from the individual that is the subject of the personal information. Furthermore, Arc shall conclude necessary agreements with those to which personal information is provided, and take any other measures required by law.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Arc shall use the personal information in order to respond to inquiries; contact potential employees; contact those who may be contracted for translation, temporary employment, or SOHO work; send products; and provide useful information (via e-mail, fax, or phone) related to Arc’s business activities. Arc obliges employees to properly conduct personal information management.

Personal information sent to Arc shall not be used for purposes other than the verification used at the time of staff recruitment (e.g. contact for interviews or employment). Personal information sent to Arc shall be managed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
